On Sunday, May 31, we were granted “Freedom of the City” by the City of Kingston and on Sunday, July 26, we were granted “Freedom of the Village” by the Village of Dorchester in honour of Dorchester Penitentiary’s 135 years of service. Both also proclaimed every June 1st as “Correctional Service of Canada Appreciation Day” in recognition of CSC’s 180th anniversary in Canada.
These were momentous occasions for the organization and something we can all be proud of. Thank you to everyone who came out to participate in these historic events. There will be more to come!
