After a short hiatus for the summer, Let’s Talk is back. I hope you all had the opportunity to spend some time with your loved ones over the past few months and were able to step away from work to rest, relax, and enjoy yourselves.
As we head into the fall season, our goal with Let’s Talk is to showcase all of the good work you do in the name of public safety. We will be publishing articles about employees who go above and beyond to help offenders rehabilitate and reintegrate into society. We also plan to feature offenders who will speak to the important role that CSC employees have played in their transitions toward more productive and stable futures. These stories will not only be shared internally with you – but externally as well. They will be featured on CSC’s corporate twitter account (@CSC_SCC_en) so that anyone with an interest in public safety and corrections can see what you do for Canadians.
I am proud to say that September 28th marks the one year anniversary of Let’s Talk. We launched this e-magazine to better promote CSC’s good news stories and to highlight the most important part of this organization – you, the employees. I’ve said it before and I will say it many times again – CSC is all about people. It’s about people helping others become better people. It’s about people who sacrifice time with their families and friends to keep offenders and communities safe. It’s about people who share an indescribable bond only those who work in this field can understand. And it’s about people who come to work every day despite how difficult and trying, both physically and mentally, it can be.
We hope that you have appreciated the content we have produced so far. Over the course of the past twelve months, the Let’s Talk website has been visited over 98,000 times by over 68,000 users who have logged over 240,000 page views. We look forward to continuing the momentum we have created with this publication and to working with you to create the best articles possible.
Happy fall and, as always, thank you for reading.
