Jeans Day 2016 - Pacific Region Staff Raise Money for Local Children’s Hospital

Features

CSC employees love to give back to their communities, so it’s no surprise that staff in the Pacific Region participated in Jeans Day 2016 – a fundraiser for the British Columbia (BC) Children’s Hospital Foundation. They purchased Jeans Day buttons and pins being sold at local institutions and parole offices, raising $2,767.70 for the BC Children’s Hospital.

BC Children's Hospital is the province's only tertiary child health-care facility, dedicated to providing the best pediatric clinical care, research, and education for children and families in BC. All funds raised by Jeans Day 2016 went to support the Excellence in Child Health Fund, which is critical to the programs and services provided by BC Children’s Hospital, Sunny Hill Health Centre for Children, and the Child & Family Research Institute. Contributions will support the areas of greatest need in each of these facilities, including specialized research into childhood diseases, the purchase of and/or upgrading to state-of-the-art medical equipment, and education programs for caregivers and families.

Thank you to everyone for giving children in BC the best chance for a healthy future.
